Pokemon Unite, the first Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) Pokemon game announced on Wednesday (6/24/2020). This game was developed by TiMi Studios, a developer under the banner of Tencent who also produces online games such as Honor of Kings and Call of Duty: Mobile.
Quoted from the Pokemon official website, the game that was launched last night brings the strategic team battle gameplay. This game was developed by Timi Studios from Tencent Games who also worked on PUBG Mobile. Pokemon Unite was actually released for the Nintendo Switch.
Pokemon Company seems to realize that this game genre is also popular on mobile, especially with Tencent’s support. So it was mentioned that Pokemon Unite will also be present on Smartphones, and support cross platforms.
In the trailer video that was released, Pokemon Unite will still present 5vs5 gameplay like other MOBA games and a game arena consisting of several lanes. Seeing the video is gameplay and control system is no different from the first popular MOBA game.
“During the game, players will work with the team to capture wild Pokemon, raise levels, evolve, and defeat the opposing Pokemon while collecting more points from the opposing team in a limited amount of time,” wrote Pokemon Company.
When was the MOBA Pokemon Unite game released? Tencent Games and Pokemon Company themselves have not provided an answer. Looking at the trailer video, it seems that this game has entered the stage ready to be released.
In the Pokemon Unite game, not all types of Pokemon will be available. So far, what has been confirmed is Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Machop, Snorlax, Ghastly, Talonflame, Clefairy, Stufful, and Riolu.
